I love Japanese Food!

So yummy! First night, we went to a restaurant called iNFOX.  I had the Tanin-don which was Japanese beef with egg & onions on rice.  The beef was thinly sliced and boiled.  The onions were fully cooked and eggs were kinda creamy.  It also came with a hot or cold udon.  I chose hot because the weather’s been cold and rainy.  Anyways, the udon was good with nice and chewy noodles.  Soup was a bit salty but still good.  The dish, itself, was ¥1,200.  We also had some beef sashimi, tuna sushi, scallops and tempera…Overall, everything was delicious!  A few unfavorable parts of dinner was that they smoke in the restaurants so it was a bit annoying.  We closed the door to our small private room but it got too hot.  Also, even though there was a table bell to call the waiter, he was a bit slow in responding..But, all were forgiven because the food was excellent. 🙂

For today’s lunch, we went to a small Japanese fast food place.  It was a really neat process:

1. You look at the displays of food or menu outside.
2. Pay and choose your meal on the ticketing machine.
3. Go into the restaurant.
4. Hand in your meal ticket.
5. Get your meal.
6. Self-serve water.
7. And, done!

The whole process took less than 30mins.  Even faster than McD’s.  I had the pork curry with soba noodles.  Again, delicious!  Note to myself though:  Need to be less ambitious with my portions.  I couldn’t finish even half of the tasty noodles.  Total cost ¥550.
